Apple iOS 6.1 Passcode Bug is on the Way for Security Glitch

Recently, Apple has promised to its users about the release of iOS 6.1.2 bug that permit to access your iPhone to everyone. This is the second update that made by Apple this month regarding lock screen. Although, apple doesn’t provide any time-frame about when it will launch, it is sure that this fix will be updated in its next software. According to the news, now anyone can easily access the phone functions and contacts of the device with iOS 6.1 security flaw that avoids the iPhone's pass code lock.

Apple Given Statement to CNET

Commenting on this news, Apple issued statement to CNET in which it talks about user’s security that will be seriously taken for fixing such problem. In the statement, Apple commented, "We are aware of this issue, and will deliver a fix in a future software update." Until this official update regarding software, Apple didn’t offer any type of guidelines regarding the device’s protection.

Recently, YouTube published the hack with the user name of videosdebarraquito that explains the ways of bypass the iPhone's lock screen, view or modify contacts, check voicemail, look through photos, etc. through video. In the Verge report, it written that "The method involves making (and immediately cancelling) an emergency call and holding down the power button twice. We followed the steps and managed to access the phone app on two UK iPhone 5s running iOS 6.1."

Previous Bug Issue

The bug issue of Apple iOS 6.1 is not of first time, previously same bug was seen in iOS 4.1 that was then was fixed in iOS 4.2 update. In Apple's iOS 6.1 software update, we have seen collection of bugs like Exchange Server bug and performance issues. Even, iPhone 4S users who upgraded to iOS 6.1 are not able to make call or receive/send text or use internet after the upgrade.
